Who is Fertility Education Australia

 Fertility Education Australia Inc promotes and provides services in family formation and sexuality education that promote the sanctity of life and the dignity of the human person in the Catholic tradition.  

 Fertility Education Australia Inc carries out its Mission by interacting with Catholic organisations, Catholic schools, Government and people committed to developing and making available information, services and other strategic responses that are for the advancement of religion and health and promote healthy sexuality and fertility education by protecting the area of sexual and reproductive health and protecting sanctity of life and the human dignity of every human person. The Objects of Fertility Education Australia Inc are to advance religion and health and promote the prevention or control of diseases in human beings, particularly:   

• To promote the ministry of Fertility Education Australia Inc as an integral component of the mission of the Catholic Church; and
• To advocate, promote and disseminate by suitable means the teachings of the Catholic Church on matters relating to conception and sexuality. 

• To enable Catholic couples to plan their families in accordance with the papal encyclical Humanae Vitae; and 
• To provide services in fertility education to the wider community that will enable couples to postpone and/or space or achieve pregnancies using a natural method of family planning that is not invasive; and 
• To increase professional and public awareness of fertility education as an effective, evidence-based, natural alternative in family planning; and 
• To promote training in accordance with the methodology of ACNFP Inc and to encourage ongoing support to those trained in that methodology. 

• To provide educative sessions in sexuality and sex education that is relationship focused and values based to students and other young people; and 
• To contribute to a society more informed about sexual and reproductive health through providing educative sessions on sexual and reproductive health to community groups. 

• To develop a sustainable network involving Members for the purpose of facilitating consultation and co-operation between Members; 
• To act as one entity for Members in any Government tender or other funding opportunity; 
• To speak and act as one voice to the Government – at meetings, seminars, consultations and other forums as appropriate; 
• To represent Fertility Education Australia Inc at Catholic Church meetings including the General Forum, Bishops Commission meetings and through other appropriate avenues; 
• To provide a national point of contact for the Department of Health and other Departments of the Government in relation to the activities of Fertility Education Australia Inc; 
• To oversee the term and conditions of any funding agreement; and 
• To undertake any national promotional or any other such initiative, approved by the Board, that will further the interests of Fertility Education Australia Inc. 

• To provide a reference point in the Catholic Church for matters relating to the ministry of natural family planning and related activities; 
• To contribute to the development of gender and sexual and reproductive health policy of the Department of Health; and 
• To provide a national forum for Members to discuss and implement national initiatives to further the interests of fertility education and other activities of Fertility Education Australia Inc.
